2015 Update

What's next for Fall of 2014 and Spring 2015....

A lot is going to happen in the fall 2014 and Spring of 2015!

I’m planning on participating in the TML (the missing link) which is 4 weeks of reading through the whole Old Testament with interactive teachings. (Sept. 22-Oct. 17)

Then right after I am contemplating on doing a New Testament SBS (School of Biblical Studies) Survey the book to discover the big picture. Analyze the book to see the details. Apply the truth of the Word to your life. 4 months of intense Bible studies!!!

(Oct. 19- Feb 21)

Then possibly jump straight into the Spring  DTS in 2015.

I know it sounds crazy but those kind of opportunities are not always available.

A dream come true!

Dare to Dream BIG

I have always struggled to set goals, or dream, imagining what I want to do when I grow up. I don't know why but just never really found anything that I was really interested pursuing. Or I would be afraid it not coming to past. Even now people would ask me what I want to pursue and I would always answer with I'll do what ever God asks me to do.
These past 2 weeks the Lord really challenged me to dream BIG. He asked me what DO YOU WANT TO DO? Then yesterday as we were sitting in a meeting about justice in the world I just got a download of dreams that I have had for so long but never really considered pursuing because I never felt like I was the one to start them (which is a LIE from the devil) EVERYTHING is possible for him who believes Mark 9:23. Manly I have been pondering on God's desire for my life. Ps 37:4 says: Delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. I always misunderstood that verse I thought I needed to do what the Lord wanted me to do and then I get what I want. But He means to say is if I truly delight in the Lord and find favor in His presence His desires become my desires.
 

God's Kingdom and a summer of stillness

The Kingdom of God is where our best dreams come from and our truest prayers. We glimpse it at those moments when we find ourselves being better than we are and wiser than we know. We catch sight of it when at some moment of crisis a strength seems to come to us that is greater than our own strength. The Kingdom of God is where we belong. It is home, and whether we realize it or not, I think we are all of us homesick for it.” ― Frederick Buechner

 Over this summer I have been pondering about God's Kingdom. What it means here on earth, what part I have in it and so many other questions. I have come to realize that Jesus talks about His Fathers Kingdom all the time. Jesus uses a lot of parables to explain the Kingdom of God. But just like John and Daniel could only use earthly words to describe something not from this world Jesus used terms so that we can picture something that is "like" it.

These are just a few things that I have been working on in my down time. Also besides working at base I have started crocheting again. I finally got my drivers license! It's been more of a quiet summer, working on projects and getting things ready for the fall school.
 For the next season this is what I will be up to:
- I will not staff this fall DTS school
- My main job at the moment is working as kitchen staff
- I'm going home to Austria from 11/11-12/9 2013
- Since I'm not staffing this school I won't go on outreach this year
- I'm hoping to staff the spring school though

 I'm just so grateful for what God is doing in my life.
 It's not always easy to fully trust God to provide for every need that I have
 It's not always easy to make other people understand what I'm doing is what God called me to God
 It's not always easy to have people think your stupid because I should get a real job
It's not always easy to be way from family and follow Christ where ever he leads me
But I know it's all in God's will and there is a reward in Heaven waiting for me!
Jesus promises to
"Trust in Me with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Me, and I will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5,6

We serve a miracle working God!

It's so crazy that again I have the privilege to go to another Nation!
With the last DTS school graduated and with a successful trip to Kenya/Uganda that chapter was closed.
I have been home for almost 2 months now and we have just started another Spring DTS.
The Outreach location was known to me before I left for Kenya and was kinda bummed that I wouldn't be able to be part of this Outreach because I just came from one.
ISRAEL- it seemed like I would never be able to reach it!
Ever since I was a little girl I was brought up with the excitement about the Nation and it's people.
As a family we would pray and fast once a week for Israel and through my church some of my family members were able to go and do Outreaches there.
Somehow I was never able to make it there. My whole life I have heard and read about Israel and dreamed to go there on day and now I am so close to that dream.
I was praying about asking the Outreach leader if I was able to join the team. Then a few days ago I took up all my courage and did it. Through a miracle the leader said she'd love for me to be on the team but she had to pray about it. The the last few days it was decided if I could come up with the founds I would be able to come.
4 days ago I started to inform all the people that I could think of to see if they would partner with me.
Right at this moment I have my ticket money and only $540 away from purchasing this ticket! After that for ground fees I will have to pay another $750.

Please I urge you if you feel lead to be part of God's miracle in my life and be apart of this great story then partner with me!

Demonstrate your Trust in Me

DEMONSTRATE YOUR TRUST IN ME by sitting quietly in My Presence. Put aside all that is waiting to be done, and refuse to worry about anything. This sacred time together strengthens you and prepares you to face whatever that day will bring. By waiting with Me before you begin the day's activities, you proclaim the reality of My living Presence. This act of faith- waiting before working-is noted in the spirit world, where your demonstration of trust weakens principalities and powers of darkness.
The most effective way to resist evil is to draw near Me. When you need to take action, I will guide you clearly through My Spirit and My Word. The world is so complex and overstimulating that you can easily lose your sense of direction. Doing countless unnecessary activities will dissipate your energy. When you spend time with Me, I restore your sense of direction. As you look to Me for guidance, I enable you to do less but accomplish more.

God’s calling you; are you going to answer?

Before we even where a thought in our parents mind, before we were in our mothers womb God had already planned out your life. God has a calling for everyone! He is gracious enough to let us choose if we want to follow that calling our not. He gives us the choice to choose Him or the world. He never forces Himself unto someone. He is evident in everyones live in some way shape or form. We might not recognize Him but we is always there for us even when we turn away from Him. God calls His chosen ones to reach out to the unreached to share that God is coming back for us. God gave us different gifts and who are we to not us them? If somebody gave you a brand new free computer would you just put it in your room and never touch it and let dust build up? Of course not! You would us it every free minute that you have and try to add as many things onto it as you can. Well that’s what we should do with our gifts that God has for us. The greatest gift that He ever gave us was His one and only Son Jesus Christ. You probably ask yourself “well how do I return a favor to God?” It’s simple like a father would give his child money to buy him a birthday present so is God with us. God gave us life and we can take that life and give it back to Him. Have Him be in control and totally and fully surrender your life to Him. Trust God to provide for you.

Look at your hands

As I look at my hands after mowing the lawn all day, I see blisters and redness. I take my focus off my hands and look at what I had accomplished. I see a nice lawn, first all covered in weeds and tall grass and now nicely trimmed and smooth. But all that means nothing, when I look at the lady that owns that lawn with a big smile of gratitude and thankfulness in her eyes.
Last week I was reminded what it means to use the hands that God gave me. Do you ever stop what you are doing that moment and look at your hands, questioning yourself what you can do with them, how can you can serve somebody with your hands?
I had the chance to serve an awesome people group last week. God has put the natives on my heart for years and for the first time I got to be part of a team to serve a small community in Apache, OK.
Mowing lawns, scrubbing kitchen floors, weeding gardens, praying, sowing seeds, fellowship.

And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. 1.John 4:17

Wakarusa

"Do you believe in God?" I asked Jessica one of the participance of the music/hippie festival called Wakarusa. "Yes I believe there is a God" she answered. While I was painting her face, she told me the story of how she gave up heroine to raise her son. Unknowingly to her God protected her from any further damage and blessed her with a son. I simply told her that God cares about her and prayed for her. When I opened my eyes after I finished with amen she look at me with thankful eyes and hugged me.

After sharing my testimony with a guy and a girl from Oklahoma I find out that Sky goes to a home church but does not know Jesus Christ as her personal savior and Sean grew up in a christian home but now has no time to go to church because of joining the air force. As me and a friend were trying to ask more personal questions we were interrupted by a man sitting down next to us at our table. It was sad because we could not continue our conversation because that man keep interrupting and making weird comments.
I was so mad because I knew it was not that man I was fighting against, it was the spirit in him that was taunting me. Please keep these people in your prayers....they are so close!

Expect the Unexpected!

Delight in the Lord and He will give you your hearts desires. Ps 37:4

Most of the time I get so consumed by always asking God for things and totally forget to delight in Him. I forget to be thankful for what I have, for what God is doing in my life and how He is taking care of me in ways I would have never expected it.
I am preparing to do more Outdoor Adventure stuff this year and it requires a lot of equipment that costs a lot of money. One day I just started a wish list on amazon of the things that I would need for my trips and posted it on Facebook. I didn't think much of it but I did it anyways. Sure enough an unexpected package showed up 2 weeks later with a climbing harness in it. A day later another package showed up with a climbing helmet. I am in such awe of God's provision in my life. This is just one of many stories of how Jesus Christ the Lord of my life takes care of me His beloved daughter. I believe if you love the Lord with all your heart and learn to delight in Him, get to know Him on an intimate level and give Him back the life that He has given you He will be more than delighted to give you your hearts desires.

Purpose?

Don't forget to enjoy life!

What does it mean to live life to the fullest? The most given answer would be to live life with a purpose!
My purpose first of is to love God with all my heart and love everyone as myself and to serve God with every thing that I have and am. I have taken a risk to live out my passions and sharing the love that God shows me every day with the people that I am surrounded with. Yes, at times it is very uncomfortable walking up to a stranger and asking them how they are doing or even asking them if they need prayer. About three years ago I would have laughed at you if you would have told me that I would become a missionary and travel around the world and fully trust God to provide for every need that I have.  
See, God is a faithful God and He has a time line for everything, all we got to do is trust Him and let Him take over.
Do you have a purpose and are you letting God take over?

London the city of many nationalities...

As I walk through the streets of London I notice so many different people groups....Pakistani, Indian,

Iranian, Caribbean, Jamaican, and so many more. God has a heart for all of them. My team and I got to be part of a big project this year; Megacities. This ministry focuses on one big city a year and reaches out to every sphere of their society. We focused on family ministry and street evangelism. From working with local churches to reaching out to the muslim community, handing out free hot drinks, prayer walking through the streets of London to leading a mini discipleship training school for a youth group.With the Olympic Games in London

this year God is ringing the bells and asking the churches to gather and pray for the unreached!

Coming up this year....

When I was in Austria I spent a lot of time out in the mountains. I discovered my long lost desire for the outdoors. Seeing God’s creation in nature is so wonderful and adventurous at the same time. This year I will be helping out with the Outdoor Adventure DTS. Going on scouting trips, staffing the discipleship training school, going out on backpacking, rock climbing, canoeing trips!
A while ago God has put on my heart to honor his Temple. To be fit and healthy. And so I am taking action!

Kitchen Corner

This is an article I wrote for our Newsletter that we just sent out! It's a new school with new students and new challenges! It's hard to believe that I am now coming up on three years of working in the kitchen here. Two students are assigned to help me with dinner prep each week day. Typically, the girls who help me begin their time in the kitchen with little to no idea how to cook. I am able to come alongside them and teach them basic cooking skills. This is a lot of fun because I have had a long history of cooking. Ten years back, when I was eleven of age, my first memory of cooking involving my brother Danny and I. Together we created the ultimate birthday cake for our grandpa's birthday. This involved us mixing in everything that we could thing of that we would want in a cake. As the years went on I learned how to make a real cake and how to regularly cook for more than fifty people. From cooking at home for our guest house to helping cook for 200 pastors from all over Europe to taking culinary classes in school to cooking for 400 people at a Christmas party last year, I've had a great education in the kitchen and love that I now get to teach others and serve people. Teaching others how to cook can be very challenging, especially during moments when an assisting student accidentally burns me with a hot pan or pot. Other times I've had flour explosions in the kitchen, and other times have involved glass measuring cups shattering on the floor. Still, moments of pain, messes, and chaos are made worth it because I know that my time in the kitchen is more that just "work." It's part of my ministry with YWAM. I'm able to minister to the spiritual and emotional needs of the girls who assist me and together we're able to minister to the physical needs of each person who enjoys a meal on our campus. So if you're ever in the area, swing on by for nutritious and delicious meal, topped off with the godly fellowship of the residents of our campus!

Ox foot, Pig intestines and Cow stomach…

Just some of the delicacies that I have tried on this trip.

Why would I eat ox foot, pig intestines or cow stomach? Because the Asian culture is very hospitable and the hosts watch everything we eat—or not eat. Of course we were asked many times to eat up everything that was served, which was not easy with 15-course meals served. Our hosts took us to very nice restaurants and
we also got to enjoy some home cook meals when we were invited to homes.

We left for China on the 8th of June and arrived in S-city 3 days later. On our last trip there we started to connect with a church, but were very limited to the number of people allowed to come to church meetings and teach. So I only got to go to one prayer meeting.
This time it was very different. We had traveled 3 days, just got settled in our hotel, went out for lunch and started to rest when Barb heard a knock on her door. When she opened the door it was the leader from the local church that we had met last time. Barb and Vincent were asked to teach at a Bible study.
They both still had dripping wet hair from the shower and no time to prepare. After that they were asked to teach at various church meetings every single night, sometimes twice a day. We never knew where we were going until we got to our destination.

Before we got to S-city we had a real short orientation at YWAM Hong Kong. Joe, a YWAM staff member, had said that many teams go out to China on Outreaches from Hong Kong. The first thing they ask a new believer is if he/she wants to hear God speak to them. So we took that example and followed it, with success.

One personal experience was at an English Corner for Kids from 1st grade through
college level. After we had gone through our program, the little kids left. (In China you are not allowed to witness to children under 18) That’s when Barb put aside the microphone and started sharing the gospel. Two boys and a girl came up to me while Barb was sharing and asked me if I was a believer too. So I got to share my testimony. I told them that I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that we communicate. I asked them if they wanted to hear Him too and they agreed to pray with me. I asked Vincent and Melissa to help me pray for them. After I while I asked if they heard the Lord speak anything to them, and they girl said:” I’m not sure if it’s me or not but I heard "I’m here. I’m here." All three gave their lives to the Lord that night.

God had planned this trip from the beginning. He had planned out every detail.
All of us had to come up with the finances and yet God made sure we had more than enough. We hardly had to pay for any food. (So we gave our food budget money, plus some extra, toward helping the poor and needy there.) Each of us had enough prayer coverage to hold back the works of the enemy. Jesus Christ had set up multiple divine appointments ahead of us, and it was as if we just walked right into them. The doors were that wide open. Praise God!

Christ's amazing GRACE

How many times have I seen Christ's amazing Grace in my life? When I look back and think of how many times God has walked me through situations where I would have given up so easily. I can say that Jesus is definitely my provider. Being a missionary is absolutely a challenge for me. I always try to be in control of everything and having everything planed out. But now I am challenged to trust the Lord to be in control. Let Him take of the maneuver and ask Him for things. Sure enough God will give them to you because He says so himself in Matthew 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Last month I was challenged that way! Your teams did some fundraising for Outreach and they also asked all the staff to pray about giving money so I did. As I was listing to God for an answer I felt like He was saying: " Give $100 and don't worry I will give it back to you." So I did and obeyed. It was super hard for me to do because that all the money I had and I still had to pay part of my staff fees for that month. But I just had to trust Him. Sure enough He was faithful. Not even a week later there was check of $100 from a person that I did not expected from.
It just blows my mind how God cares for a selfish person as myself.

Not to long ago we had the most amazing spring weather among lots of snow storms. How crazy is that? So we as the last big of the staff decided to go rock climbing. Sadly I didn't conquer anything that day. I attempt to climb a 9.5 plus and after that I was to tired to to continue and finish the 7.5. It was way to hard for me and I only climbed once in my life before. But only to show how much fun I had that day I'm going to add this pics. Right now I try out different recipes and experiment around. Like giant meatballs filled with eggs, baked spring rolls, my own creation of a black forrest cake (moistened cake with 2 layers of chocolate filling, 1 layer of whipped cream and berries, covered with chocolate cherry glaze) I am also working on my cookbook. I'm putting all my favorite recipes together and cleaning the kitchen. I absolutely love my Job...

Crazy and different Christmas experience

Wow it's been so long AGAIN.
So much to do and not enough time to sit down on a computer to get on my blog.
Things here on campus are going to be a bit slower since our teams just left for outreach to Thailand and Peru.
I apologize to everyone I haven't talked to in a while. My computer broke about 3 months ago my cellphone bill is to high yet God knows my needs and gave me a computer and a cellphone to use for the next 2 months. He is the BEST!!!!!
Over Christmas I spent 2 weeks in Dallas. I decided I was going to join our DTS group to go on a stateside outreach. Crazy enough to make that kinda decision I found out that night we arrived (thursday) that I was supposed to be cooking a Christmas dinner for 450 people. 10 frozen turkeys, about 10 lbs of dried pinto beans and 3 days to prepare. I had never cooked a turkey before because there was always either my dad or Jen to make it. OR have ever cooked so many dried pinto beans at the same time.
My turkeys turned out fine plus the last 2 were for display so I tied the legs together with a red ribbon. (looked super cute)
My beans not so much! I had them soak for a day and a half and then cooking for a day. The last hour of cooking I burned the bottom of this huge pot. It was late and I forgot to add more water.
Oh well they just had a little smoky taste to them.

These 2 weeks I got to learn a lot about putting others before me and serving them with a the love Jesus Christ gives me.
Easier said then done! So many times I could have put other before my own needs but I didn't.
Selfishness is I think is something everyone has to deal with every single day. "Selfishness" and "Patience", a big thing that God is teaching and helping me walk through on daily bases.
Worship was another thing that I was kinda in charge of during this trip. Let me just tell you I have never been so much challenged in this category. I was told that we were in charge of a Wednesday evening church service at the Dallas International Street Church and I was to lead worship.
Jenni just told me that they liked peppy and lively worship. Okay first of all I am not a peppy worship leader and not trained enough to do so nor did I have be right songs with me!
Let let me tell you how God has used this situation and made a lesson out of it.
We had 2 weeks to prep and after the first 2 attempts of practicing the songs I picked out I just gave up and told Jenni I couldn't do it. Of course I didn't give up. After spending most of the time searching for songs we finally had songs picked out that might've worked and went through them once before we had to leave for Church.
It was only by God's grace and by my wonderful friends that this worship service didn't turn into a whole disaster.
When we got there we set everything up and where ready to start. As we were singing the songs our mics went in and out the whole time so that no one really could here us to much. Plus after the last song was done people expected more songs and that's where the Holy Spirit took over and our guitar player jumped in and started singing another song and saved the worship time.
There is so much more I could write but that's for next time....

A new challenge

Never give up! Even when it’s really hard and you just want to hide from the world. Stay firm and bold. God will be with you he will never let you down. This gives me comfort and giving up all my rights for the kingdom of God. Mark 8:34,35 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. I am willing to give up my life and everyone who is dear to me and follow the Lord.
I am reading Making Jesus Lord from Loren Cunningham. This book has given me a new prospective on how to serve the Lord.
My new challenge is a young lady who I will mentor for the next 6 months. I am asking the Lord to giving me wisdom and humble me, so that only his will and not my will be done. Please keep praying for me!
On Monday our Discipleship training school starts and 12 new students have arrive. A new beginning and new challenges have started.



I’m making the welcome dinner tonight! Humus and whole wheat tortilla chips as appetizer and Greek lamb racks with Greek salad and brown rice. I have been to my first Hillbilly Football game on Friday and my first bluegrass concert on Saturday. My parents arrive in 2 days and I get to spend 2 weeks with them plus my sister in law is expecting her first baby any time soon.

So much has happend in the last month! I have been among people that tried to fill up there bodies with alcohol, drugs, fake love and lots of other junk. It was so hard not to judge them. I just wanted to go home and hide in my room and never talk about it again. But God showed me how much he cares for them and how much he wants them to know Him. We met so many people with christian background and ran away from it because people judged them by the way they looked! It broke my heart to hear their stories and how their hearts have harden towards God. I was just observing how my friends interacted with the people that came into our booth. I wish I would have talked to more people. It was my first time to evangelize. But it was nice to see that we where accepted by everyone. Not one person walked away that we talked to! God has so much planed for us.
I sold 2 of my purses and gave one to one of the vendors that I met there. Her name is Coco and she sews beautiful guitar cases. I wish I had time to pray for her before I left. So keep her in your prayers.
On monday I am going to find out if I am going to have a niece or a nephew!(so excited)
I am going to visit my family in Bald Knob AR and help them out for a month. Pls. pray for me that I will be successful in finding people that are willing to support me!
